About Us

The Greater Princeton Volleyball Association promotes a competitive and fun atmosphere to play volleyball in central New Jersey.

Founded in 1999, GPVA offers levels of play from Recreation to BB. GPVA runs co-ed, men and women's league play at the Princeton Day School. Matches are held Mon thru Thu in the evenings at 7:00 and 8:45 pm. The Fall season (Sept) runs for 10-12 weeks. The Winter/Spring (Jan) season runs for 14-16 weeks. PDS has made the decisions to NOT permit outside groups into their building through Dec. 31, 2020. This means there will not be a Fall season this year. There is a chance these restrictions could extend beyond that.

Because of the state lockdown and schools being closed, the remainder of the GPVA season for all nights has been cancelled.

Full protocol from PDS: “The list of countries placed under travel advisories due to the corona virus continues to grow, and I would urge you to consult the CDC's travel advisories as you consider your family's [spring break] travel. Should you decide to travel to any of the impacted areas, I ask you to notify us before your child returns to school. In certain cases, we may ask an individual student – or groups of students – to remain home for a period of time.”

PDS sent the following protocol to the PDS community on 2/29 with respect to the ongoing spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). No volleyball on Wednesday, April 29 or Wednesday, May 6. The match on April 29 will not be rescheduled. Playoffs will be Wednesday, May 13 (wild card and semi finals) and May 20 (final).
